Three works live in this volume. Before the Vows walks you through what’s easier to talk about now than to discover in year two: money, children, church, conflict, in-laws, the marriage bed. The Wedding Vows is about the promise itself, where the words came from, and how to write yours so they carry weight. A closing primer on God’s design lays out the shape of the life you’re about to promise each other.
Work them in order if you can. The vow chapters assume the conversations already happened.
You each get your own page. Fill yours in first — half of what these pages do, they do in the gap between the two answers.
If you’re already married and the first year has been harder than anyone warned you, none of this is too late. Plenty of couples find these conversations somewhere around the second argument about money. You can have them before that.
